De-sludger for heating pipes

• FIELD OF APPLICATION

The MITDESEMB is a de-sludging product used in a closed circuit in heating pipes to eliminate sludge deposits.

• USE

The de-sludger is to be used with a concentration of 1 to 5 %.

For a conventional 10 to 15 year old installation (1 % of the volume of water) of MITDESEMB is sufficient to loosen the sludge.

Duration of the treatment: variable according to the fouling of the installation but we can base ourselves between 8 and 10 days.

In the case of a 30 to 40 year old installation with large cast iron radiators, it is advisable to increase the dosage to 5 % given the importance of the sludge.

MITDESEMB can be used in underfloor heating (PER pipes).

In winter:

The treatment can be carried out with a boiler in operation.

In summer :

Only operate the accelerator to achieve water circulation in the system.

MITDESEMB contains a corrosion inhibitor to avoid any risk of leakage on the installation.

After treatment, drain the system and rinse it properly before reheating.

• Important note:

If a system has a lot of sludge to be disposed of and the volume of the boiler’s heating element is small, it is imperative to stop the operation of the boiler if it causes slamming (this noise is caused by sludge filling the heating element).

The system must be completely drained and the boiler must be flushed properly (failure to do so may result in the boiler bursting as it heats without water).

Following treatment with MITDESEMBit is imperative to use the MITNEUTRE (neutralizer) if the installation includes cast aluminium radiators.

If the system is made up of steel panels, a proper rinsing with water is sufficient.
